1. What the service is

2reb ("soon" in Arabic) lets you write letters to your future self, delivered to your email inbox on a date you choose. The service is free and open source.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
  • The information you provide must be accurate, and you may not impersonate others.
  • You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts used for abuse.

3. Your content

  • Your letters remain entirely yours. By submitting them, you grant us only the limited permission needed to store, deliver, and — if you choose — publicly display them.
  • You are solely responsible for what you write and any images you attach.
  • Letters shared in the public gallery are shown anonymously and may be removed if they violate these terms.

4. Prohibited content

You may not use the service to write, send, or publish:

  • Illegal content, or incitement to violence or terrorism.
  • Harassment, threats, or defamation of others.
  • Child abuse or exploitation of any kind.
  • Spam, scams, or unwanted advertising.
  • Viruses, hacking attempts, or anything meant to harm the service.

We run an automatic profanity filter and may block violating content or suspend violating accounts.

5. Anonymous and public letters

  • Anonymous letters require email verification before they are scheduled.
  • Letters shared to the public gallery become readable by any visitor and cannot be linked to your identity.
  • Likes and comments in the gallery are public and may be moderated or removed in case of abuse.

6. Delivery and reminders

We work hard to deliver letters on time, but technology can fail. We do not guarantee delivery at an exact moment and are not liable for losses caused by delayed or failed delivery.

7. Disclaimers and liability limits

  • The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
  • We may change or discontinue the service at any time, and will make reasonable efforts to let you retrieve your data before any permanent shutdown.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service after changes are published means you accept them.
